System/Applications Analyst


The developer should be expert coder in both visual interfaces and web services construction. In addition, they should be expert in the most effective and efficient product development using Visual Studio 2005 and MS SQL 2005 enterprise server. This would include code development, unit testing, source code management, build management, integration testing, and deployment. The candidate should be expert in the most effective and efficient product development using Visual Studio 2005, VB.net 2005, MS SQL server 2005 enterprise, XML, XSL/XSLT, and HTML. This would include code development for maintenance, unit testing, source code management, integration testing, and deployment. The primary tool in use is Visual Basic 2005 .net. Knowledge in the following products: Visual SourceSafe, Deployment software, and Java Script. In a lesser degree: C#, ASP and other Visual tools. Knowledge of Human Services systems would be a big plus. The Technical Manager and FTE staff will establish coding standards and development procedures to be followed by the VB 2005 staff. Any issues that arise about the architecture should be directed to the Technical Manager. He would use his discretion to best address this issue.
They should also be able to work with other staff. The primary tool use is Visual Basic 2005.net and MS SQL 2005 enterprise server.

The candidate must have very strong communication skills. This includes both verbal and written communication.

Function: Under general supervision participates in the analysis, design, programming, and implementation of computer systems; works independently or as a part of a team under general supervision.

General Characteristics
Responsible for the design and development of the enterprise IT systems.
· Working knowledge of computer programming languages for mainframe, client/server, PC and/or Web application development.
· Working knowledge of methods and techniques of computer programming including system development life cycles and software testing.
· Working knowledge and experience with databases and database management.

Develops design and functional specifications, produces deliverables related to the project(s) assigned and assists in post implementation support and system enhancements.

Responsible for gathering, compiling and synthesizing information with regard to technology processes or systems.
· Ability to deal effectively with the needs of the data processing installation, vendors, business users and IT staff members.
· Ability to plan, organizes, instruct, and review the work of technical professional services.
· Ability to write and speak in a clear and concise manner.

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field
